Resting on 18-inch wheels, with 20-inch versions available, the Camaro has a deeply chiseled body from the dual exhaust to the split grille. Three engine options exist for the 2019 Camaro. The first is a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine which generates 275 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, the second is a 3.6-liter V-6 producing 335 horsepower and 284 pound-feet of torque, and the third is a 6.2-liter V-8, which pounds out 455 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque. The LS and LT trim levels have access to both the six-speed manual transmission and the eight-speed automatic. The SS trim gets a six-speed manual, but with rev-matching technology. Where other vehicles emphasize piles of complicated and expensive features, the 2019 Camaro favors utility, function, and power. Steering wheel mounted audio controls, single-zone climate control, and power-adjusted bucket seating are standard features. This coupe seats four comfortably, with the driver and front passenger getting the lion's share of legroom, as is typical for muscle cars. Recaro seats are available, offering everyone onboard a more comfortable and sporty-looking ride. The interior seating options include ash gray or jet black cloth upholstery at the lower trims and ceramic white, ash gray, and jet black leather at higher trims. With an optional interior package, adrenaline red leather becomes available.
A Range of High-Tech Features
The LS coupe has access to a rearview camera, keyless access, a leather steering wheel with audio controls built-in. The 2LT gets two-zone climate control and heated and ventilated front seats. The infotainment system is compatible with smart devices, allowing for Bluetooth connectivity and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto access. SiriusXM satellite radio is available from the 1LT up. The 3LT has access to a larger infotainment display, a GPS navigation system standard, and a Bose nine-speaker premium sound system.
