The 2020 Malibu has a muscular, curved profile, a sculpted body and hood, narrow halogen headlights, all-season tires, and 16-inch wheels. A thin, body-colored bar divides the prominent chrome or black grille, and a black Chevy bowtie emblem is in the center.
You can also choose 17-, 18, or 19-inch wheels, a dual-pane power sunroof, acoustic glass, front and rear splash guards, dual exhaust, a spoiler, automatic high beams, and a programmable keypad for keyless entry. The optional heated power side mirrors have memory settings and turn signals, and you can add eye-catching LED lights around the Chevy symbol on the grille.
Plenty of Power
This car provides great maneuverability, quick acceleration, and an exciting drive. It comes with a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder, turbocharged engine that gives 160 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, and it uses a continuously variable transmission and front-wheel drive. With this motor, you can go 29 mpg in urban areas and 36 mpg on the open road.
Choose the Premier for a nine-speed automatic transmission and a turbocharged, 2.0-liter, four-cylinder motor that generates 250 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. This trim level travels 22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway, and it can pull up to 3,223 pounds. With both engines, a start-stop system pauses the engine to prevent idling when you stop in traffic, but keeps accessories like the radio on.
A Futuristic Interior
The Malibu’s attractive, modern interior has ample space for passengers and cargo, and the dashboard and doors are full of eye-catching curves. It has a 12-volt power outlet, six speakers, an 8-inch touch screen, folding rear seats, and cruise control.
Additional options include a 120-volt power outlet, a Wi-Fi hot spot, an eight-way power driver’s seat, a nine-speaker Bose audio system, and a cargo net. You can also add navigation, remote start, dual-zone climate control, a universal garage door opener, and memory settings for the driver’s seat and the side mirrors. Heated and ventilated leather seats, wireless charging, a universal tablet holder for rear passengers, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror are available as well.
