The iconic Chevrolet Corvette received a full redesign for the 2020 model year, and we’re very excited about the updated style and power it’s bringing to the streets. Here’s a quick guide to some of the 2020 Corvette’s most exciting features:
Redesigned Exterior
A common refrain from Corvette fans is that Chevy carries over too many parts between the sports car’s generations. This time, Chevrolet listened — every single piece of the 2020 Corvette is new, except for one part: the interior door latches. The 2020 Corvette was made to look more like European supercars, with its large side-skirts that take in air for the mid-mounted engine, which is visible through the rear window. The new Corvette, also known as the C8, has sharper lines, a lower hood and a floated spoiler that gives it an aggressive look on the road.
Powerful Engine
If it doesn’t pack a punch, it’s not a Corvette. The 2020 model gives you all the melt-you-to-your-seat power you’re looking for in a Corvette. One of the most interesting parts of its new engine is that you can see it through the rear window, mid-mounted in all its glory.
The 2020 Corvette Stingray comes equipped with a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that punches out 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. If you throw in the Z51 performance package, you can add five to both of those numbers.
More Creature Comforts
While your Corvette takes on the twists and turns of the road, it keeps you relaxed for the long haul. As you move up the Stingray’s trim levels — 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT — you’ll get more creature comforts and exciting features to take advantage of.
At the 1LT level, you’ll get eight-way power-adjustable seats that let you fit the cockpit to you and not the other way around. The 2LT adds heating and ventilation to those seats, as well as a heated steering wheel. At the top of the lineup, the 3LT offers 13 different interior color options, leather upholstery for the panels and doors, a sueded-microfiber upper trim, and Napa leather seats. The 2020 Corvette gives you the first-class treatment wherever you go.
High Tech
The new Corvette Stingray is as smart as it is strong. Between the fully digital driver information cluster and the center stack’s touch screen, we can’t imagine a better way to bring the Corvette into the new era. That touch screen is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which allow you to use many of your favorite apps and phone features through your Corvette, using only your voice. Welcome to the future of sports cars.
The 2020 Corvette is one of the more exhilarating vehicles to come out of the Chevrolet design team for years.
